Frost Walker

Frost Walker is a rare armor enchantment in Minecraft 1.21. Frost Walker freezes the water beneath your feet into temporary ice as you walk, so you can cross lakes and oceans on foot without ever getting wet.

Its opening level already delivers a noticeable boost — Turns water into frosted ice in a 2+level block radius — and it climbs from there to a maximum of level 2 (II) on your boots.

Frost Walker tops out at level 2, shown as II on the boots, and the gap between the levels is where the enchantment's character really lives.

Two levels, both creating a circle of frosted ice that grows a little wider with the higher level (a radius of two plus the level). The ice melts back into water shortly after you leave it, and it forms only on still water — not flowing water, waterlogged blocks or lava.

Frost Walker fits exactly one item — the boots — and nothing else will accept it, so it is a dedicated boots enchantment through and through.

Frost Walker cannot share a boots with Depth Strider. Because of that single conflict you have to pick either Frost Walker or Depth Strider for any given boots — never both.

Frost Walker is a treasure enchantment, which means an enchanting table will never produce it. Your only routes are loot chest and villager trading, after which you combine the book onto your boots with an anvil.
