What an enchanted hoe is good for
A hoe is the fastest tool for more blocks than most people think: all leaves, hay bales, dried kelp blocks, targets, sponges, moss, nether and warped wart blocks, shroomlights and every sculk block. Efficiency V speeds all of them up, which makes a hoe the tool for clearing leaves or harvesting a huge fungus farm.
Fortune helps with crops, although it works the same from any tool that has it. A fully grown carrot or potato plant drops one and then rolls 3 more chances at 57% each, and every level of Fortune adds a roll, so the average goes from 2.7 without Fortune to 4.4 at Fortune III. Wheat gets the same extra rolls on its seeds, not on the wheat.
Silk Touch is the only way to take sculk sensors, calibrated sculk sensors and sculk catalysts with you; without it they drop no item at all.
Enchanting Cost Notes
